Anyone tell me what they think of this area or Mango Hill, Deception Bay etc?
Thanks for your time!

Hiya Posh

Redcliffe is really nice and there are some dodgy parts of Deception Bay ....although in the new build areas it is lovely and not far from the beach

Hi T,

Are you familiar with Petrie, Murrumba Downs and those surrounding suburbs, what are the schools like?

Hi..have to agree there are some dodgy parts to deception bay...but it is on the up and the new build estates are as nice as any other I have visited...house prices rising steadily to reflect this.

Redcliffe is really nice....a mixture of old and new houses... can be very quiet and when I lived there my nieghbours were all retired ...but they were very nice and loads to keep my lil one busy.

Mango hill has been hughly developed with lovely houses and shops....mostly ex pommies ... funny to stand in a pub in OZ and no Ozzy accents.

Murrumba downs ,petrie ect are as above some really nice houses ,good prices and friendly people...sorry don't know about the schools.... but would live in any of these areas.

Thanks very much for the info, we are hoping to head to that neck of the woods early next year, hubbie is an aussie who came to the uk when he was about 8 so hopefully it should be pretty straightforward for us.

Hi, my Hubby has just secured a rental in Redcliffe and says its lovely, plenty to do, plenty shops round about, lovely beach and waterfront. Not a lot of nightlife, but nice restaurants which suits us. Also, he said everyone has been really friendly. I'll be there in 72 days (and counting!!:D ) so I'll make sure to tell you all about it.

great!

That would be fab and I so can't wait to hear about all your news. How exciting - we have a caseworker, just waiting for our visas and house sale to go through and then we'll be flying out to oz soon! Redcliffe has been mentioned as a really nice area and especially for familys - we have 3 kids - 6,3 & 1 so need plenty of things to do, ha ha!!! Please, please keep in touch and let me know anything and everything you can think off - any info helps even negative. Take Care & good luck, Em

No bother, will do, good luck with your plans, and let me know when you're heading out.
