where to live around Nambour

We are hoping to go on a Student visa at end of June/July. Pauls course is in Nambour and we need to find a place to try and settle, We have 3 children 11,8 and 4. We would rather be near the beach and drive to the town/shops etc than the other way around. We are quite happy to be "away from things" as long as there are other kids around and a school. Also obviously, we would like it to be not too expensive!!

Nambour looks quite nice form the research I have done and not too expensive, but a drive to the beach.

Any area's anyone can tell us about would be great.

Ps - we also have 2 very well behaved dogs, which may be a problem when comming to rent.

hi Yvonne,
I cant speak from experience as Im still in the process of researching areas myself, but I have been looking around the mooloolaba,maroochydore, buderim area and ive come across a place called sippy downs (chancellor park estate) which looks great for young families, own schools, bike tracks and houses reasonably priced and about 10 mins from beach, maroochydore shopping plaza nearby. There is another member jarvl who actually lives in sippy downs she has been a great help.

I have been looking at local hospitals that are nearby to sippy downs/mooloolaba and apparently Nambour hospital is about 25mins drive away.
