Do you have info on Brisbane private/state schools?

We are looking into the possibilty of private schools in Brisabane area for two girls who will be 7 in sept.
if you have any idea about the costs and standards of private schools in the area opposed to state schools please let me know.
Whats your opnion of the state schools your children go to?

posted a quick reply yesterday but cant see it so not sure what happened. We bought a copy of the Courier Mails School report from last year, April 6th. To get it sent to Sydney cost $7. But it has all the schools results in there. Top scoring private girls school was Brisbane Girls Grammar, top scoring state school was Redcliffe. We are looking at Kenmore High which has a strict catchment area and then if we can afford private at the time then at least we have the option. If its anything like Sydney there are wait lists that some children are put on at birth so it pays to plan ahead. But interesting reading. I think those top private schools go for about A$10-12k for high school years. They say if they quote A$10k then plan for A$20k!
