Hi Helen
Cant recommend any of the areas you mentioned personally just yet as we didnt get to look around any of them when in oz in Jan/Feb (we ran out of time but are hoping to move there in Jan with a final pre-visit in Nov). We have teenagers hoping to go to uni at Southport and dance college in Burleigh Heads so we've gotta try and base ourselves suitable for them. Probably looking at areas similar to you. Can recommend a good reference book though. Its called 'Where to live guides - Gold Coast' and profiles 90 suburbs. (similar one for Brisbane available too) I purchased it from consyl publishing - tel 01424 223111 or info@consylpublishing.co.uk web www.australian-outlook.co.uk Loads of info which is helping us narrow it down for when we next visit - hopefully!
Good luck and keep in touch.
Lyn x

We think book is excellent. Lots of useful bits of info covering schools, housing, types of population in areas, distances etc. We've gotta accomodate another one going to TAFE at Brisbane too now along with Southport and Burleigh Heads. It means we can narrow things down for when we hopefully visit in Nov to finalise everything.
