I have seen this on TV, are you bothered by flies/mossies on the patio at night with the lights on?

Cheers

:)

Congrats on the house sale ! the flys and mossies do vary with areas and we dont have a major problem not like on the coast or next to a river etc ,there are lots of citronella style candles on the market and many sprays im also told to put yellow strip lights outside the new house as the mossies arent attracted by them ,hope this helps

Yes it does but not to the extreme degrees (either way) than it does in the UK. The worst it gets in Sydney in Winter is dark by 5pm (just), and in the latest it gets dark is about 8.30.

Personally i prefer the UK system as it 'sets' you more into the season. To me, it's 'neither or' here. You'll still be home in time for a surf in summer though.

BTW it's called Daylight Savings Time here, and the clocks change on the same weekends as the UK (in the opposite direction of course)

8788jt is on a distinguished road
One thing that amazed me is how quickly it goes dark.

In the space of about 20/25 minutes it can go from light to complete darkness.
