cairns/townsville

Hi,

Anybody have any thoughts on these areas? Were of to Cairns & Port Douglas in December to get a feel for the place before we fully decide what part of Australia we will go.

Climate is much to my liking, as are the house prices. It appears to be one of those places that no many people think about when going to Oz.

That might be a goodthing not to many "english bars"......

Cheers.

moving to townsville

Hi all

my family and I are moving to Townsville in the new year (when visa granted) still got lots to organise but looking forward to our new life there. Lovely area and house prices good although gone up a lot. This also seems to be an area that is being greatly developed so hopefully jobs will be easier to come by for my hubby who is a builder. I hope to get a job at Townsville hospital without too much difficulty. Can't wait for that good weather looking forward to paying aircon costs instead of heating costs especially as we have a dodgy boiler at the mo.

Good luck to all
