IT'S A BIT QUIET AT THE BOTTOM !!

Just thought i'd try and liven this section of the forum up as it's pretty quiet on the Queensland board.Dont really have a clue how, but im thinking!!!!
God that hurt !!!!
Why dont we all put where in Queensland we fancy going (or have got) and why we have chosen that area?? You never know you might meet a new neighbour !!!
May i appologise to anyone who thinks im slightly crazy but im addicted to this site and have gone through all the postings ,,top 'to' ,,well here,,and i have run out of reading,,,what have we to lose,,

I blame the kids !!!

Hi Cal were flying out to Brisbane on the 27th June, got a 6 week rental in Mc dowell. Central location was the main reason as I haven't got a job yet.

I'm in Victoria Point in the Redlands area, often called "Bayside". About 38km SE of Brisbane City.

While i'm here, I know someone who may be renting out his decent house in Victoria Point from next week.

If anyone is interested, shout now, as rentals around here don't stay vacant for long.

We're planning on going to Queensland early next year and have decided on the Bayside area, initially after reading the Diamond's posts and then carrying out further research.

We want to be near Brisbane but we also want to be on the coast. Housing is affordable; schools seem to be pretty good and there seems to be quite a few brits in the area (on the off chance that we don't make any Aussie friends). We don't know anyone in the area but found out after we'd decided on this area that one of my sister's friends has lived in Wellington Point for the last few years. When I contacted her she gave me further info on the area which made us even more determined to go.

Cheers B

Hoping to be heading to Maryborough, near Fraser Island. Have friends moving there early next year. If a job not available at the time it will have to be Brisbane, a mate moved there last year and doing well.

Moving on my own with a little one so cacking it most days!

Good luck guys with all your plans.

I too need to get off this forum and do some graft to get the move moving forward

Hi all,

My hubby is travelling out to Brisbane on 11th August. We have some friends which are picking him up from the airport, but I haven't got a clue where they live!!! We are hoping to rent a property in Albany Creek.

Hi Cal

We are fancying the Brisbane area. Have never been before but the climate really appeals.

Just at the TRA stage - anxiously watching the mail everyday for a hopefully positive result.

Have nearly all the other info ready to send once the skills info comes back. Can't wait to get the ball rolling.

Cheers

martynjennings is on a distinguished road
a couple of yeas ago i stayed with a cousin in REDCLIFF north of Brisbane. she had a large house on an acre on macdonnell road. this was my first visit to Brisbane and i was too up for it to sleep so i went for a walk at 5 in the morning. i walked to the end of the road and there i found the most fabulous beach. i walked along marine parade and sat on a bench and stared. that was the moment when i knew i had to live in Oz.
