Brisbane?

:D my husband, myself and 3 kids are hoping to go to Brisbane, or somewhere on the sunshine coast - does anyone recommend any regions in particular? Did you have problems finding work? How long did it take to settle in? Were spiders a problem? Did u miss much about uk?

We are half way through the processing of our 457 visa. This may sound a bit bizarre, but somewhere I am still thinking if coming to brisbane would be the right thing for my family. Does anybody think that its worth visiting the place before emmigrating? It is expensive though.
Is Brisbane really a wonderful place? please please please help me out here

I love the "were spiders a problem" part of your post!

Have just got used to the harvest spiders that appear in August - after 40 years - and thats's only because the cat eats them now before i see them!

I will never get used to those ozzy spiders but am assured that they don't appear as often as you think.

can i just ask what are harvest spiders - i havent heard of these are they even bigger than huntsmen and can they kill you - or the cat????

How funny..........harvest spiders are those big BRITISH spiders that appear around August/September in BRITAIN' not oz! We think they're big but they are minute compared to huntsman. Sorry to scare the living daylights out of you. OMG but they ARE big to me. You have made my night, I can't stop giggling at your post - can they kill the cat? -have you seen my cats!!!!!
