Moving to Brisbane

Hi there, I am moving to brisbane in October and can't wait. Got my de facto spouse visa sorted through my Aussie partner and everything booked! Is anyone else in that area? Looking to make my own friends and not just rely on my boyfs. Any tips?

Moving to Brisbane

Hi there,
My name is Karen and my husband and I are hoping to move to Brisbane towards the end of next year sometime. We are in the early stages of our application and we are not quite sure where abouts in Brisbane to actually settle. So if you have any ideas of some nice places to live then we would be gratefull. We have 4 girls who are at the moment 13,11,6 and 10months so we need to find some schools too. Where abouts are you moving to?

Karen

hello, good luck! i am not sure where we will be - we are thinking paddington or woolongabba so as to get to coast easily but central to brisbane. i have heard clayfield is good for families. most of brisbane is lovely so you can't really go wrong. hope it all goes well, good luck with application.

hi Jesse
My family shall be moving near Brisbane in November. I know exactly what you mean by finding new friends. I am a little nervous about leaving all my friends. Have you got your visa already

My family (Kaye, Ben 4, Emily 2) and I will be moving to Brisbane early next year. We already have friends out there but would like to keep in touch with people going through the same problems we are/will be going through.

Perhaps we can form a support group through this site then all meet up for a beer in Brisbane as each of us arrives there!!
