      Question North Lakes Info PLEASE

      Hi All
I am a new member and would love to find out as much as possible about the area
We have a 10 year old son and want to make the move to Oz
It seems after reading various posts its a place with quite a few ex pats
My wife and Myself are both in sales account management and we can make the move anytime as my wife was born in Oz and i have a spouse visa.
Our older son is residing in the area but i would like to hear from people who are unbiased in their opinion and can give some negative aspects as well as positives.

just some of the conditions when thinking of it all.

      Thanks .

      Hi

North Lakes is a massive master planned estate with excellent close by ammenities, childcare, schools, Westfield shopping plaza, golf course etc. It gives relatively easy access to Brisbane or the Sunshine coast and is very popular with familys.

It does have a bit of reputation for being 'mini england' due to amount of migrants who settle there, the only other negative you seem to here is that some of the houses are very close together and compact.

Overall i would say its definately an area to look at when you arrive if you want suburban living.

If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...

My Aussie cousin lives there and has loads of facilities - shops, libraries, schools, parks, free barbies etc and handy for the motorway too. It is very nice but i thought it lacked a bit of character as it is brand new. Depending on whereabouts you are you will probably have to drive to the shops as i didnt notice any corner shops and in the QLD heat that can be a bind when you fancy a walk
