Transur Pets

Hi,

Has anyone used Transfur pets for the shipping of their dog/pets?

I am in the quoting stage and they are coming up as one of the cheaper and the communication is great so far.

Anyone got any good/bad reviews for them, or any reasons why I should go elsewhere?

Hi I cant say ive ever heard of them (but thats not always a bad thing,lol).. Pet air seems to be popular on here and alot of members have succesfully used them.

We are using Transfur. No problems so far. Good communication and knowledge.

I was surprised I got no response to this, I got their name off here. Did you negotiate the price with them or just accept their quote?

Why don't you use the forum search for the company and read what people have said in the past. You'll read feed back then I am sure.

Probably the people who've used them have not been around and the thread dropped down. Or they've already posted about the company in the past and don't worry to keep replying to new threads.

I didn't negotiate with them as the majority of my quotes came in around the same price and it wasn't worth quibbling over small amounts. I can't remember where I got their name from but there are a few threads about them on here that I have read and I googled on a daily basis to see if I had overlooked any other companies.

I was impressed with the initial response I got from them which was full of information and detail about everything that they would do and would happen.

I guess from that first email they just stuck in my head and that's why I went with them.

Im using Transfur now, they know their stuff as far as I can see and came in £1000 cheeper than the firm affiliated with this forum.

Hi, Have to say we shipped our two beloved cats over in 2006 with Bob at Pet Air. He & Luke were absolutely fantastic, helpful, re-assuring & constantly in contact all the way. They weren't the cheapest quote we got, but we chose them as the staff are qualified vets & their attention to detail was second to none. Haven't heard of the other company, but sometimes it's better to pay a bit more & have the peace of mind.
