Where do pets fly out of the UK?

Hi, am I right in thinking that pets can only fly out of the UK from Heathrow airport or can they fly out of other UK airports?

I am in the process of gettting quotes to ship my german shepherd out to Sydney and we live in North Yorkshire. I have contacted every agent available - some good and some numpties, however, the fact is that if they say they can fly your pet from any UK aiport, it is just to tranfer them to Heathrow. We have decided to take our pet to Heathrow ourselves and get our flights out from there too - less stressful for dog, and cheaper flights for us. Good luck

Thanks for the info, I thought that might be the case, I think we will probably do the same thing and travel down to Heathrow with the dog then just get our flights from there,

Yes your right all animals have to fly out of heathrow .. they can be sent from other uk airports into heathrow but ultimately they fly from there to perth .. hope that helps
