My friends have had a team playing there for a few years now, and this year I flew over from the UK to join them for the weekend.. It was great.. Apparently, it is the largest amateur cricket competition in the southern hemisphere, and is held in the fields (and bars) around the town of Charters Towers, in Queensland, every Australia day weekend (Sat, Sun & Mon)...
