I learnt today that there is an old village under the water of Lake Tinaroo, some say there is only construction equipment but it seems when the Dam is low you can see the roof tops of the buildings and walk across an old bridge.

Not much, Katie. I seem to remember that the town was inundated at the completion of the Tinaroo Dam in the late 50s, early 60s. It used to be a timber town.
Have heard from a few fishos that some buildings could be seen when the water is low.

About Tinaroo, It used to be the "Holy Grail" for barra fishos, until, that is, the Awoonga Dam became popular. Awoonga is alot closer to Brissie and saves alot of driving. Now, Monduran is the "BIG DAM"
A world record barra was caught in Tinaroo, it was 37KG, or 80 lbs. That has been eclipsed by a 44.6 kg barra from Monduran (Fred Haig Dam) near Gin Gin.
