Thanks for that will put the pensions thing on the back burner for now but I will make a point of asking about the pension set up when it comes to the job interview time, I think you will be hard pushed to find a final salary scheme in the private sector now and in time the public sector will be forced to think about switching to self funding schemes as well.
As for the shipping question I am with you just bring my suitcase(and possibly a tent!) but I am not sure my other half will go for that one!
