Hobart - nice

I've just come back from a trip to Hobart and I was very impressed with the place. For a small town (less than 200,000 people I believe) I was quite surprised how sophisticated it was. There were some nice bars and restaurants (especially seafood) and with the big bridge and brooding hills it reminded of Inverness.
Wish I'd known about the place a decade ago before we decided to move to Sydney.
I'd say it would be the perfect place for someone looking for a move Down Under for a better lifestyle but without the heat and big city sprawl of places like Perth or Brisbane. Plus it has all that amazing green scenery.

Tassie is THE PLACE TO BE. We love it here and have never had a day that we wish we hadnt moved. We had our first visit from a friend in the Uk and she didnt want to go back either! It is Australia's best kept secret so dont tell anyone else only PIO!!!!!!!!

We also looked at the options of moving to Tasmaia specifically Hobart researched every aspect of the type of things a family with 3 boys would need.

Still dont know why we didn't stick with the idea, the only reason for our concern was we thought about the lack of work for hubby but doing further research on his employment prospects I now feel it would have been a viable option.

I am sticking though with Cairns, although Tasmania is fantastic looking. While writing this I still wonder whether we are making the wrong decision not choosing Tassie.
