Have you heard from doc to say if your meds went off yet.
Not sure what the proceedure is under normal circumstance is, but the only reason we knew ours had been sent is because of all the complications with hubby and we were emailing back and forth with the doc, have you spoke to Howarth.
I have seen many write that they did not know when meds were sent or get results from their doc it just seems that you had your meds a few weeks ago.

Hi Kaye & All PIO Pals:
The parents were here for a flying visit & giving us the 3RD Degree... How are you going to take all your stuff... how much will that cost... Why don't you do this/that...?!! I know Mother doesn't want me to go, they're both in their 70's now & she has neck problems so making traveling hard, even from Devon, so isn't thrilled at the prospect of me deserting UK AGAIN!!! and her having to get to Tassie to visit me... Father is sad, but can see it could be an opportunity for us,so tries to be positive, but secretly hopes something might happen to keep us here... (Is the world flat... do pigs fly... do bears hate picnics?!) I think Not!
We had our Meds 2-weeks ago Friday last - so 10 working days from xam, off they went to Oz by courier; Dr. said it's all on it's way to Sydney !!! So nothing to indicate any problems, (he said he would tell us if there was anything) so another relief (esp as I don't count AND have Xcess baggage!)... It seems to have dragged since Feb when we started this process, especially when compared to the NEW E-applications (which annoys hubby Big Time!) but actually it has progressed smoothly, if some-what at the pace of molasses sliding off a cold spoon!
So we are now seriously looking at areas, job opportunities, a new LIFE... Father could see that we have so much more chance there of buying a property - that we could call home - which we have no chance of here. And that was encouraging, so we are starting to feel excited. OH is talking about 6-8 months from getting Visa nod to getting out there, but we don't have kids or a house to sell, just us & our furniture, so not quite sure why it would take so long...? I can see winter mightn't be the best time to go, so maybe we'd have to wait till the end of August...? Any ideas folks? Well, now we are just awaiting the Visa Gods' Descision... Please, offer up copious Prayers to the Visa Gods...
Cheers & thanks for your support and interest... How is all going for you Kaye? Be interesting to see if you get your visa 2 weeks or so before us... Last Christmas in England... Crazy times!
Herbster XX (Looking out the window at the driving rain & dreaming of Cygnet, Tasmania where it's around 25 degrees with sun... Idealie he sighs!) XXX
PS: Have to add, too that we had a great meal out at a NEW country restaurant at Meldon Park. For any one in the Newcastle area wanting a unique dining experience of all locally sourced produce & delicious meats & game cooked on site & served up by lovely, attentive owners, then this is a MUST DO. They have a great farm shop too & are having a Christmas Fayre on the weekend of the 15/16th Dec offering loads of festive goodies AND a Santa's Grotto... Ted recommends it to all Bear's missing their Picnic Opportunities due to the disagreeable nature of the season...
Great news that your meds are on the way, ours arrived 1st November so thats 3 weeks this Thursday I have seen it mentioned somewhere they are looking at meds from the 10th October so a bit of time left yet and have to say its flying over.
We have decided to do a different xmas this year and are spending a couple of days after christams in the lakes then heading to Edinburgh for 4 days to celebrate the new year, really looking forward to it.
House still isn't on the market and i'm getting frustrated with hubby because I want him to finish off a few jobs before we try and sell.
Desperately trying to finish all my christmas shopping by the end of November so I can enjoy our last December and not have to rush around last minute.
Going up to Corbridge on the 17th December late night shoppping and carol concert and have a meal in the pub, will have a trip upto Seahouses my fave place to have a wander round the harbour I love harbours one reason we were thinking of moving to Hobart.
While hubby has 2 week christmas break I want to do all the things I love doing before we leave hopefully no later than April on the condition we get said visa.
Moving to cairns we dont have to worry about the winter its apparently lovely but they say April in Cairns is a great time to arrive.
Beginning of the year can be a bit wet so they tell me (understatement of the year)

Making Plans for our last UK Christmas
Good News, Kaye:
Yes, must say, having only made it up to Scotland for our first stay this Sept, I'd like to go again & we were thinking of going up there to Edbg, to see the Christmas festivities, it 's whether we have the time +££...
You know they charge for parking in Corbridge now, bit of a bummer, apart from the Square, but chances of parking there for free are remote. Stobo's let me fetch the car & park in front, AND carried my purchases to the car last week to save my back - good old Country service, still not dead in some places. But you know WON & Penny Plain have gone too? And the Larder has changed hands... But still lots of good coffee shops & pubs if you can't find what you want in the shops!! MELDON PARK is on the way to Morpeth from Wallington & worth a stop for folks dashing by...
Glad to hear you ARE going to Cairn's as that was your dream, do hope it all works out for you - so the waiting begins, a g a i n!! We also went to Life Museum, first for the folks & up to Ashington to the colliery museum, all Free & worth the effort!
Happy Days
Herbster X (apart from raging toothache, 5-weeks & counting...)
