Well I have sent our passports to Australia High Commission in London to be evidenced (more money) so they can attach visa. Booked our flights (more money) to Perth to visit cousin and to validate visas, going on the 2nd Sept and back on the 17th Sept. Have to validate visa by 10th Sept as our police checks run out on 11th Sept.
Hoping to get internal flight to Canberra to have a look, then back home to UK to sell house (fingers crossed) and save some more money before booking a one way ticket to Canberra.

Sometimes you can get a deal for a free internal flight with your return ticket - either that or leave from Sydney rather than going back all the way to Perth - it's a long way!!! (3 hour flight!).

September will still be a bit chilly here - my boys always used to move back into shorts on 18 September but it can still be very brisk so be sure to bring your warm woolies just in case.

Thanks for advice I will be sure to bring a coat. It's meant to be summer here but all its done is rain, we have had a couple of really hot weeks but apart from that rain, rain and more rain.

LOL I have shaken the moths out of my raincoat and it is almost packed as we speak - we leave next Friday for a month The aged rellies were moaning about the rain the other day because it interfered with dad's golf!

Did not realise you were coming over to UK for hols. Lets hope the weather will be nice for you. Where abouts are you going?

Cambridge for a base but as far north as Chilton (up your way) and as far west as Plymouth. I dont care if it pours down, I would love to see some rain!
