Personally I would sell my only child for a MothersPride Scottish Plain loaf - we have a couple of good British Shops down here and can get most of the stuff we miss - my big luxury is a jar of Hellmans mayo - I just can`t take Aussie mayo on my sarnies.

Nah give me good old aussie bacn any day.
As for cheese you should try Mersey Valley Vintage Club Cheddar from Tasmania, that and King Island Vintage-both fantastic cheeses.
And BTW Johatts-Penguins are not a patch on Tim Tams !

I don't know where I'm going wrong then tried market bacon and supermarket bacon, just not as meaty or tasty. In the markets where I came from you could get the smokiest bacon that would stink out the fridge and taste lovely/no shrinkage! As for sausages we were recommended to try the english pork at Woodvale Boulevard butchers and they are lovely. Only sausages I've had that I liked.

Ooooh, I miss Staffordshire oatcakes, Russetts' apples, double deckers, finger-a-fudge, Club biscuits, white chocolate (doesn't taste right here), revels, McVities biccis that don't cost a fortune, Tescos natural yogurt, Muller rice, Heinz chicken soup ....

But it tastes lovely Fiona - honest you gotta try it! I`ve got some haggis and some Scottish square sausage (Lorne sausage) in freezer, just waiting for fry up!
