The Pets are Migrating too !

Hi All,

Well today Talulah & Buzz (Cats) have been booked to migrate to Brisbane with us. We had so many quotes in that it was a pleasure today to put all the ones we were not using in the bin

We decided to go with Air Pets and to send the 2 of them to Sydney the cost was £1899.00. The price includes the following

freight
I.A.T.A Air Travel Containers
Airline handling fee
Delivery to Airport
Application for Import Permit
Application for Quarantine Space
Owners/Curators declaration
Application for Ministry Of Agriculture Export Certificate
96 hour Paraciticide
Sealing of air kennels by airport vet
Collection from UK address
Boarding - 1 Day

Now these people are doing everything on our behalf, we had cheaper quotes in but some companies we hadnt heard of but searched them on the net and others that did not do the whole package. After much consideration we felt these people were the best for us and it leaves us with very little to do.

Hope this helps some of you that are thinking of moving your Cats as it gives you an idea of the cost and what else is involved.

We did take our Cats to the vets to have rabies injection but they dont really need them to enter Australia, ours have had them incase we do decide to come back then the Cats dont have to spend ages in quarantine here in the UK.

Sounds like the cats are all sorted and ready to go but are you????? lol

I wonder if cats have to sit a citizenship test with other cats once they get there.....hee! hee!

We are going to be leaving our feline friend behind.....he spends far to much of time beating other cats up, so don't think he would cope well in a new land.

That's cheaper than I thought it would be - I'm still undecided about taking our two, partly because of the cost and partly because i'm not sure how well they'd cope with the move. Plus not if two black pussy cats would cope with all that sunshine.

Gonna have to sit down with hubby and talk it over again!

That must be a weight off your mind then, and as they will be travelling together they won't be lonely either...bless em.

We have decided to use airpets also, for our cat. we couldn't leave him behind, our kids would never forgive us, he is part of the family!

I am amazed at the number of people not taking pets though!
