Arrival in Perth

G'Day Guys

Arrived in Perth safe and well, but to rain !!!! All is OK here. Settled the kids into school, no point in waiting. They have settled really well and love the laid back schooling. I am busy looking at Rentals but found nothing worth having yet. Missing OH who said he'll be here in time for the boat show, typical man. Not met an Aussie yet, its soooooooooo british here and it all feels very homely. Caught the sun already which is scarey, everyone either hides from it or wares factor 30, and its spring.

My advice to those coming over is bring your blankets it gets really cold here. The houses are equipt to keep the sun out so therefore it gets really cold in the house. Still i am staying with friends who have been great to give me a roof over my head, even if it is cold LOL

Seen one spider a small black one, just walked away from it. One very small lizard, some lovely looking birds, a kangaroo with joey eating flowers from someones grave, naughty litle buggers they are . I have also seen a Humpbacked Whale washed up on the beach, something i have never seen before. It turned out to be about 60 years old and died of old age, bless.

Well thats enough from me for now, i will be back again but hopefully i will have my own place.......a girl needs a nest. Love Karen K XXXX

Hi Karen,

Glad you made it safe and are enjoying Perth. We are following you shortly and will be arriving on October 23rd.

So it is cold there, hopefully by the end of October it will have warmed up a bit ... I didn't leave Canada to go to another cold country LOL.

I am sat here at the computer with a blanket around me, as it is dropping down to 2 degrees at night and I am too cheap to put the heat on, plus we move out at the end of the week.

Whereabouts in Perth are you??

Glad you are enjoying it... that is my biggest fear, getting there and hating the country (I am pretty sure I will love it though).

Thanks for reply guys. I am in Kallaroo in Perth. Yes it does rain and its been the worst winter Perth has ever had, still we will soon be moaning that its to hot....no pleasing the british girl LOL.

Have you missed me then. Whats going on, i want all the gossip. Earlswood are you near me ?

Gothic queen how are the kittens. They sell animals in pet shops here and i want to buy them all.

My youngest is going gold digging for a week in the outback, he's sooooooooooo excited, me i would rather have pins stuck in my eyes LOL.

Glad to here the weather has been better in the UK.

Welcome to Perth. We are living in Kallaroo. I have just sent you a pm. Don't listen to anything Earlswood says he hates it here. Mind you it is tacky where he is! (only joking Earlswood). Today has been sunny and 25 with a mild tornado like wind. So don't waste any time doing your hair.
