My Mood:
Life would never be like this in Oz......
do you ever have days when you think that.........I mean deep down you know life will not be perfect in oz and will be full of ups and downs just like the UK,
but when you are having a bad day do you start thinking things like, this would never happen in oz, and everything is going to be just so perfect in oz, or everyone is will always be nice to us in oz.....lol
well today is one of the those days for me, nothing serious wrong, just been one of those days, when you know you just shouldn't have got out of bed.......and of course, this would never happen in oz.........
Mandisfam, who is looking forward to tomorrow......as its new day.

LOL I know - just had one of them myself but in reverse - things would never have been like that back home! You just cant win whichever way you look. Stay under the duvet and dont move I think should be the motto!
All the time Mandisfam!......
Drive around dodgy parts of the city thinking...Can't wait to leave all this behind, I bet it's not like this in Oz.....
Had bad day at work, start to think badly of colleagues, bet everyones really nice in Oz.....
Horrible rainy day in England, think it'll never rain in Oz.....
Family doing my head in, think I'll get some peace in Oz without constant guilt trips...
Australia is ..of course..the place of dreams where everything is perfect and you never have a bad day, lol

that is interesting Fiona.... Arrived in Brisso in August '73 after telling all in the UK that the sun always shines in Oz.... only to find we had a month or two of sunshine, but then it rained, and rained, and rained until January '74 and Brisbane got big floods!!!!
BUT, with all that, I am really happy with Oz....
i feel like that most days - i see the debt mounting up and the way this country is being handled and i think why?? wouldn't it be better in oz? not sure - but i would seem happier. i am feeling like i just need to be over there - fed up of this country and weather. i need space and a new life. work is great but need a new challenge. why is this country going under?

It's not going under Ash, most families these days have 2 cars...30 years ago most families if lucky had one car and weekends would be spent down the scrap yard or filling in the dents with filler......
you never had it soo good.

Sorry Earls but that's utter crap. Who cares if u got 1 car or 10, the point is UK is a ****hole and it's getting worse. High taxes, fuel prices through the roof, more than enough immigration (unskilled). Crap weather (don't even go there) Don't get me wrong, I love the Uk for some things, It's where I was born after all, and where my nearest and dearest are, but I feel no allegiance with the place, it's not done a lot 4 me. Yeah, there's good and bad in every country but thousands of Poms in Oz can't be wrong, can they??
Roll on Jan and I can make up my own mind x

I love the UK for some things. Really hate it for others, like my husband being beaten by 2 thugs and nearly killing him. You hear about it on the news, people being killed outside their front door, but don't expect it to happen to you. It did to us. I'll be leaving my mum here and I feel terrible about that because if I'M leaving then what am I doing to her by leaving her behind? Some days I feel really excited about moving, other days I feel so sad for everything I'm leaving behind.
