If you have no skills ,what jobs pay well in oz

Hi everyone

What jobs pay a good wage without having to have a skill....what i mean is if a married couple is going to oz on a skilled visa due to one partner having the skills or trade, but the other partner (husband) has not got a trade but can put his heart and sole into almost anything what jobs would you suggest to look for and how much are we looking at ???? also does anyone know what is oz basic wage for un skilled and what would you consider being a low wage (impossible to live on) and what would you class as a decent wage.

sorry for so many questions just want to soak up as much info as possible

Thanks guys

I guess the answer will vary from city to city ,as different trades are in demand in different places. In Brisbane jobs along the builder, joiner side of things seem to be advertised alot but then again mechanics are too ,have you trawled through www.seek.com to see whats wanted where ? this may give you a start on things ? A basic tradey wage seems to hover around $25 per hour to start ,and they normally like to take you on casual at first, hope this helps a bit

Retail?
There seems to be a different emphasis on working in retail in Oz to the UK i.e it's not just something you do as a student, retiree or back to work mum.

Thats good as my husband was an accounts manager for a few years and was thinking if we were to go that would have to be his first choice of work.
