hi guys
well errr i might get shot down for this but cant help myself i need a rant
arrrrrhhhhhh cant believe MAY app just got there visa.
just 9 weeks! r they havin a laugh down there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(not even sure i believe)
i'm paper so kinda expecting to wait a little longer than online but 5 months ahead thats just wrong all emails from them say they process in date order & modl priority!
feeling s##* today was hoping we might hear something then see this

cant do anything its driving me mad cant book anything, cant plan anything, & sick of hearing have u heard yet arhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

just reading that post,mindblowin or wat,my visa loged oct 18th 2007 skilled 136 paperbased with agent,congrats to them gettin visa in record time,no ryme or reason in this wait.

I know what you mean. Although it is not their fault and they must be soo excited, I know I would be, it is gutting for those who have been waiting longer. I am not too bothered as I can't sell my house, but it must be hard for those that have been waiting for months.

Good things come to thoe who wait!!!!

Thank you for your message and I hope you are keeping well! There have been some delays on the side of DIAC due to legislation changes in 2007 and more recently having reached their annual cap of skilled visas to be granted, however the new migration year has just started again on 1 July 2008 and DIAC seems to be back on track requesting medicals and police certificates and granting visas.

Although we have had very few random requests for applications lodged in December 2007, at the moment the majority of DIAC’s case officers are requesting medicals and police checks for applications lodged in and around October 2007 (yours is a paper-based application); we lodged your application with DIAC on 12 February 2008 so I expect it to be several weeks/months yet until we have a request on your file, although it may be sooner than this.

It is important to note your date of initial entry to activate your visas are given for approximately 12 months after you carry out your medicals and police certificates regardless of when your visa is finally granted – which may be several months later if any further delays are encountered. It is possible to carry out your medicals and police certificates sooner than requested to speed the process up, however it is still too soon to do so at the moment. I will be able to advise you when to go ahead by tracking the progress of applications we have in the ‘pipeline’ at any given time.

i was hoping for something to happen soon but doesn't look like it and my application date is feb now not jan as i thought i'm well p@@@@@ off wish something would just happen.

Life sucks it really does. It is only 19:06 and have 1/2 bottle of wine already as just Oh just came in told me the neighbours are saying 'youll have trouble selling as houses expected to drop by 40%, so you better had be ready todrop big time', why do people like to Pi** on your bonfire and not being greedy but if we dropped by 40% we wouldnt get what we paid for it, and would be living in a cupboard box lol

Ok thanks for that rant, now it's back of to the wine , cashew nuts and whatever else I can feed my face with lol

hoses prices will drop but nowhere near 40%
you will have the last laugh kdal when you are packing your bags you can wish your neighbours a happy recession and slip in somewhere did you know australia is booming and they have sunshine all year round and how cool it will be spending christmas on the beach
alll these facts probably arent 100% correct but they wont know that and you will well and truly put their bonfire out lol

I had exactly this at work - pompous gits wittering on about the state of the housing market for their own entertainment & telling me how bad it is - as if l didn't know anything about it!!!!!!

Chin up - more wine please daren!

(We had a good time yesterday - after a bite to eat & a large glass of red l was out like a light at 8pm on the sofa - god l am a light weight these days!!!)
