Yesterday my daughter Sian had open heart surgery to replace her aorta, this took place at GOSH in London, which is a fabulous hospital and it was a very very stressful time. The operation took 6 hours and every hour just dragged and dragged. Sian is in the ICU as we speak but is off the life support machine. The operation at this time appears to have been a success so credit to the surgeons, two of them they did a fantastic job enabling Sian a more fulfilling and longer life. After keeping Mike up to date with what was going on, he has now been in Perth 2 months staying with the Bravehearts, he today told me of the terrible accident Billy had been in yesterday (Friday). This thread goes out wishing a speedy recover to Sian and Billy, and my heart goes out to the Bravehearts at this time.

Wow you seem so calm i hope she makes a full recovery must be one of the hardest things youve ever had to go through brilliant news to hear everything went well and thats shes off life support.

Must be hard for mike as well being so far away.
Wishing your daughter good health and hope she has a speedy recovery from her operation, bless her it is soo sad when adults are ill but children its really not fair.
I am sooo sorry to hear about Billy and would like you to pass on my best wishes I am not sure that they come on here anymore but they are nice people and I feel for Janette and her children and of course Billy. Can you let us know if they are all well and if Billy is ok.

Thanks all, Leanne Billy was in a terrible car crash yesterday, I dont want to go into too much detail but he is very ill. I am sure lots of people on here remember the Braves, albeit they dont come on that often anymore, my heart goes out to J and the family right now.

Sharon I'm really worried abt Billy now as I know them from on here when I first came to PIO. Please pass on my love and best wishes to Janette and tell her I am thinking of her and of Billy getting well and being back with her soon.

Wishing Sian a speedy recovery. She will be well looked after in GOSH, they are world class! She's deffinately in the best place!
