Hi Julie

Thanks for the link, have already registered and got a valuation for mine, more than what I thought it was worth, know its only an estimate but gives us an idea.

Your house looks lovely, fingers crossed you sell quickly. Please keep us updated on how you get on with using Zoopla because it could be a couple of months at least before we advertise, need to do some DIY, or should I say the OH has to do the DIY.

Thanks again.

Debbie

i agree in keeping your house nice, clean and tidy to attract potential buyers but i wouldn't go to the extremes scamp1976 indicates... it's not the bedding or the size of the sofa that people are looking at it is the property itself... if they like it they can see beyond furniture and fitting... and painting everything white could look too clinical.
lisax

Scamp1976 is on a distinguished road
The advice was only meant if you had trouble selling your house. Obviously if you can sell it like this, then it makes no sense to change anything. But if you start running in trouble, let's say with 2 months to go before you have to leave, then I'd recommend making those changes. It's just what I would do myself, and in no way I'm saying everyone should do it like that :)

Good luck with the sale !

hi julie,
good luck with selling your house. we have bought and sold many houses over the years and even though things are "bad" at the mo you have to be realistic on how much you want to spend changing things "to sell" it!!! i think you house looks and sounds fab as it is and as you say it is a family home and you are the family that still lives there!! i wouldn't take any of my daughter's "works of art " down or paint everything magnolia etc as i feel i makes things boring!!! my lounge is half red and cream but i love red and it can be painted over!!buyers can see beyond "your Life" in the property and as i said before you still have to live in it while you wait.we are just trying to keep our house smart and tidy.
anyway good luck again,
gail x
