no visa - no house !?!

hi everyone - should be making kids dinner but just thought i would post this v quickly first

just thought i would update you with our journey - today we had a call from our solicitor to say our buyers want to move in here 18th jul OMG

on one hand i am delighted as i know it is such a struggle to sell houses just now but on the other hand we have no visa therefore have to stay with my mum and dad. we could rent i suppose but this way we can save more money. this also means that we need to put our furniture into storage and cant immediately send in onto oz.

my stomach is in knots with excitement as is my husbands - but it is a strange feeling also moving out of our family home and with no visa yet !

il need to look on here for that thread that had a things to do list cause i think i will make a start on it now as when our visa does come (if they grant it) then we can just book our flights and go - we have waited long enough


ps - when i brought in my washing just now there was a great big bird poo on 1 of my bedsheets (no seriously there was) is that a good luck thing !!!!!!!

Hi SJS, well I would say Well Done, I would rather be in your position now than in mine, your visa will only be a matter of time, so you probably won't need to be at your mum n dad's for very long.

i agree with brammies get em in before they change their minds... and send the bird to yorkshire... i've just had a viewing... although they seem positive you never know... so i could do with a bit of s**t for luck i may even leave my washing out all night LOL!!!

Well done on the selling of your house!!! Its great you have family who can put you up and yet another benefit ... .. just think of all the money you will save on mortgage or rent! Fingers crossed your visa comes soon.

As for the bird poo theory ...John and I went to Kew Gardens on saturday he got pooed on twice (left arm and left leg) I got pooed on once (right arm) ..so I suggest a coach party to Kew!

Hey, we were in exactly same position as you!! Sold our house and had no Visas - yep got 3 kids so we must have been completely Crazy!! Moved into my Mum and Dads. Well for us it worked out ok, got visas, sent our stuff ahead of us so it arrived before us!!! no sleeping on blow up matressess! Once the visas come through we said lots of painful goodbye's and we were off - 8 months ago today! Good luck with everything!!
