Now I know there are a few people on here coming back from Australia, and maybe a few of you on here that knows of someone that would like to live in this lovely semi-rural location , which has the advantage of having an Indian Restaurant , Chinese Restaurant and a nice pub and wine bar !! I can see the Aussie expats now being tempted with the English Pubs and the Curry

If you come back you can buy my house or we can do a swap lol

Done deal then hope you can get your family into a 15 foot x 20 foot office with one camp bed.

Wow, i have to say that i cannot believe you live in a house like that and still want to move to Oz!!! Thats amazing! For us one of the major draw to Oz is being able to afford more than a one bed flat in an area we like. May I ask what the draw is for you? It definately can't be materialistic?

Exactly what I was thinking to be honest...why a lot of people move to Oz is to better themselves with a bigger house and a hopefully a better standard of living...but if you have a great standard of living in the UK the pull can only be the weather and beaches
Is that enough to move from that house.

Hi Megs & Earlswood

We have a lovely home in a lovely area, seriously you could not want for more. A drive home takes me through the countryside and it takes my breath away at times with how beautiful the UK really is ! Our house is set in a court yard and there are 2 courtyards and 4 houses in each, opposite where I live there is a very old Vicarage and I think it is a lovely view. Church bells ring on a Friday evening , it's bliss !

So the answer to your question....

It hasnt come easy, we have taken many risks we both have our own business but trust me the title of being you own boss comes 'fully loaded', there is alot of pressure. We cannot come home and shut the world out , the business is with you everyday ! I will miss the house and hope I dont regret what we are going to do, but no the move is not materialistic we know already that we will not have the things that we have here (materialistic things), we have told the boys that unfortunately the chances are we will not be able to afford the latest X-Box Game and X-Box Life, clothes etc.... We will probably be worse of financially but we are hoping for more time together as a family, and a change of life for better we hope!!! My eldest son has always wanted to live in Australia, so maybe we are following his dream !! Here in the UK we are there and its hard to change your lifes as people expect you to be a certain way, in Australia we are hoping that we can just be us with no expectations and just enjoy our life. Hitting 40 a few years ago may have done it for me LOL It's time to chill out and enjoy life without the material things !! To enjoy living our lifes and just doing something different with it !
It's hard to explain why we are doing this apart from life is far to short not to take a few gambles, and thats just the way we are.

Thanks for the compliments on the house guys, I hope someone else feels the same and buys it !!

xx

Confession time !!

Megs & Earlswood

Why does this site do this to you LOL

BUT

One of the other reasons was abt 3 years ago my brother was employed by the Company, to cut a long story short he robbed the Company and the Company ran into trouble...

I had no choice but to sack him, my family (Mum & Dad) went mad at me, telling me how nasty I was and that I didnt care abt family, basically dis-owned me for a while. I was hurt as I thought my parents would have understood that I had to protect the Company and further more my kids and our future...

We are all on talking terms now but it still hurts, and I need to get out and get away

My boys including my husband want to go to Australia, I'm up for it as feel I have nothing to lose !!

So there you have it my confession

...

Yep course you can

I used to be in banking, when I had the children I thought what can I do??? Well I decided on an Indoor Play area, that way school hols etc.. I could take them to work with me PERFECT!!!

And it was, but with that sort of industry there is alot of cash payments and it's quite easy for money to go astray. I knew it was but ignored it as knew the family would fall out but in the end, it was take action or else see the whole thing sink.

My husband is a refrigeration/air-conditioning engineer and is self-employed, thats how we are getting to Australia.

Funny enough my sister has now opened an indoor play area in Adelaide , helped them with business plans and advise etc... and apparently doing really well - but we dont speak either now

Thanks for your message Gizmo
