29/6/08 HOUSE BACK ON MARKET.
We have been on the market for one week, had 1 viewing but they have a house to sell...the usual.
When we sell we plan a six week trip out, where i have set some interviews in principle up. Then we will go fron there.
we are on the south coast of kent by the sea and our house has been on the market for four weeks and we have had two viewings. We have just dropped our price by 10,000
and have a viewing in an hours time so fingers crossed!!
One of the previous viewers brought a house just down the road from us and the others hadnt even got a buyer for theres so a pointless exercise really.
Our visa is going to be applied for next week when our sons passport comes back and weve had our xrays on tuesday.
We are going on a 457 and are hoping that the visa and house sale will come together!
(who am I trying to kid)
Good luck to everyone else & hope your more patient than me
This crunch period is going to screw things up for us. Only today they are estimating a 30% drop in property value. Even if it comes for us to sell I think we're going to have a job in doing so. Things look like they are starting to get tight.
Inflation is going up, gas, water, electricity all rip off. Fuel giants have just announced obscene profits yet deem it fit to increase charges on fuel. Council Tax, Gordon Brown (O do go away)
Now they are on about knocking 0.5% off the interest rates next week to turn things around but this will fuel inflation.
So as regards to selling your houses, and I know some have said they have just knocked 10k off their asking price, we cannot afford to do that because our house is supposed to be financing our move...... which is now skating on thin ice.
Worrying times so good luck to all of you who have their visa's and are just waiting on the sale. Envy ya!

We are in Cumbria house not on the market yet just doing a bit of touching up and hope to have it on the market by end of May, but things are really quiet up here my sister has had her house on the market for about 6 months and only had 6 viewings.
Will keep you all informed of progress, good luck with your sales!!
We have been extremely lucky. We are in Surrey and put our house up for sale in Mid February & sold it 4 days later to the first viewer. Got visa's 2 days ago and exchanged contracts on the house today with a completion date for 23rd May. All in all its been a good week.
Lucky you Windsor, hopefully ours will be the same result, although we too are just doing the touching up (if little fingers will only stop drawing on the walls, where does she get the pens from !!). Ours is a 4 bed detached in a good location, all amenities and M4 on the doorstep, and local agents are reasonably confident we wont have a problem, but we will see. We are trying for the May/June time as well.
We put our house on the market in August last year. Have had one viewer two weeks ago!! They said they were going to come back for second viewing and guess what, they did not!!!
Had our visas granted in February.
My brother, wife and two children emmigrated 8 weeks ago and are really settling in well. Say they have no regrets and aren't missing anything, apart from obviously family and friends.
Hi, we have just gone on the market this week. After reading all the posts about people struggling to sell their house i thought id put it up early. My OH is hopefully doing his practical assessment in july not been confirmed so i hope im not jumping the gun putting the house on the market. I have put it on at a slightly higher price as i know people are going to be cheeky with offers (if we get them). I wasnt going to mention that we are emmigrating either does anyone have any views on this. Just hoping we have Windsors luck!
Good Luck to us All

We do not have our Visas yet and CO has just asked us for our Value Statements to be signed (so hopefully Visas will not be an eternity away now).
Had agents around last week to take pictures of the house and they have came back today to do the virtual tour, the house hopefully will go on the market for this coming weekend! We live in a Village but do have a direct train line to London Liverpool Street, we are right at the end of the line! I am concerned that our house is not going to sell quickly due the current market but I suppose we can only wait and see.
When the house is ready and on right move I will put a link on. It is a very tiring time not knowing if your staying or going !!!
