Except for the "benefits" you get nothing over here...It is much the same where I am in Perth with crime and anti-social behaviour "bogans", "westies" as it was in London..The papers are always going on about the yob culture and drug taking around the City and it's suburbs....same ****....different Country.
I think thats a good thing no benefits. I have heard many people say that it pays more to be off work than to get to work. It annoys me. Anyway enough of that. lol
My sister in law has family who lives in Perth. Well more the country side than a beach property/city life. They love it. Said that Perth was the clean and the weather is lovely. The winter is more like a cool summer day.
I think one place is maybe for one and not so for another. Its a shame when you dont.

I bet they don't have as many stabbings and shooting in Perth as they do in London.
The last I heard the stabbings were up to 3 a day in London & that was just for the young people.
I seem to have problems with Tesco milk. Many pints that I have bought and the next day I have opened it. Its out of date. Even though technically the date sais it is. weird. huh.
I bought a cheese sandwich the other day normally I check the date on everything but I was in a hurry looked at it later and the date had expired the day before.
Yukkk!!!!!!
My pet hate for supermarkets is Morrisons tiny aisles it does my head in the ones i visited in brisbane I can't say I noticed they were small maybe we were lucky.

Well you aren't going to like the UK then, I shop in most supermarkets and if one more cashier asks me what the weather is like outside or how i'm I feeling today its almost like they have been given a script and talk about false.
They dont even listen to your answers then they ask you the same question again.
Then you have the greeters at shop doorways who say hello, how are you? as you enter the shops and then the ones that follow you round asking if you need help.
This is going on all over now its just as annoying anywhere.
Hi Kaye, I work for Sainsbury's in the Personnel department, but we are all multi skilled and expected to help any other department when needed, which is usually checkouts.
Our customer service is to, smile at the customer, make eye contact, greet customer with hello, ask if we can help you with your packing, make conversation during the transaction, pack the last few items, so the customer can be getting ready to pay the bill, and then say goodbye at the end of all this..... So after the first few customer's of the day, yes this can seem like we are all reading from a script.
We then have a mystery shopper that comes in once a month and marks the whole store on certain questions he / she has to ask, and depending our we do, we could loose our bonus over the year.
Sorry it's our job and bonus..............

The last thing I wanted to do was sound as if i was slating you I have worked in customer service and know what its like.
Its the people who make conversation and dont listen then ask the same question again and talk to you because they feel they have to not because they want to and on occassion can be down right rude.
My son works at sainsburys so I understand what it is they do and what they put up with. He left today and the manager was great with him.
The combination of the highest relative property values in the world with the highest official interest rates naturally produce high home loan repayments. Just how high and how painful is now becoming more than obvious. Anecdotal reports of rising repossessions and a huge increase in forced sales are now spreading from so-called blue collar suburbs to properties in the $1 million to $5 million valuation range.
Mortgage stress is spreading across all cities, suburbs and demographics. Overgeared families are obviously the most vulnerable but wealthier Australians are now being caught as they liquidate assets to meet margin calls on highly leveraged share portfolios caught in the equities downturn.
The latest research from Fujitsu Consulting claims more than 900,000 Australians will suffer mortgage stress by September, 400,000 of those will be in severe stress and 80,000 could lose their homes because they can't meet the loan repayments. Severe stress is defined as being unable to meet repayments without refinancing, with many having to put repayments on their credit card.
While inflation reached a 17-year high during the week, these mortgage stress levels should send shockwaves through next month's Reserve Bank board meeting. Yes, the CPI figure is outside of the Reserve Bank's target range but the price increases are not the result of a wild spending spree by heartland Australia.
Retail sales are down, housing finance has slumped, consumer sentiment has crashed and the property market is down. It's not as if everyone is out partying. A case can be made that much of the CPI increase is imported through the impact of higher oil, food and health prices.
For an indication of just how savage our interest rate levels are, official rates in the US are 2.25 per cent, Canada 3 per cent and Britain 5 per cent. Compare that to Australia's official rate with 7.25 per cent.
Australian home loan borrowers are paying triple the repayments of American property owners. So it's not surprising that more and more consumers and businesses are sinking into debt. Too many people are sinking further into debt as each week passes.

Like the thinking, but nope not even a little bit. Lol.
Interest rates are high. At least I get a four bed detatched house with a pool and cinema room. I am quite happy to swap for that. Also having our equity in the house too will make it a double bonus.
