Dentists in Oz

Hi all, I realise this might be a little strange asking but was wondering if anyone had any experience with dentists in oz???? What are like? are they easy to come by? can you just pick anyone or do they have waiting lists like the UK? Is there a shortage of dentists like the UK.

I realise that any dental work will have to be paid for and its the not the money I am asking about, just the general service. Its something I have no knowledge about whatsoever.

Thanks
Mandisfam

Hi,

You will find no shortage of dentists and you can go to anyone as far as I am aware, I had to have emergency treatment a couple of times and found them to be very good, I didn't have to register with them, the Doctors are the same and open much longer than the UK, although a lot of them operate on a 'No appointment' basis so the wait can be horrific at times! This will depend on where you end up living of course, not sure what it's like in Country areas.

Hope this helps
