I'm begining to learn how very vast Oz is & not take the aussies by their word !!!!!!!!!!!!! Hubby came home on tuesday and said how do you fancy a trip to Coffs Harbour, yes ok i say- not knowing how far or near, (hubby is currently doing the glass doors, windows & other frameless glass for the new Levi store in our local shoping mall) we have to go & collect some special glass from a company there hubby says. So we left daughter at home as she had her day planned with her friends and we got up at 3am this morning and left at 3.45am to drive to Coffs, well its was bloody awful it took us 6 hours to get there the first 5 hours it rained hard non stop, the little scenery that i did manage to see through the rain storm looked like something out of "The Sullivans" The last hour before arriving at Coffs was wonderful sunshine & a damm sight warmer than where we had left from. We arrived at Coffs and had a wander along the beach area and had a coffee, went to the company to collect the glass only to be told........ "Its NOT ready" i coudnt bloody believe it - hubby spent quite a while bashing their ears as they had previously called hubbys boss to say yes it would be ready for collection today. After a while we gave in as they werent gonna give us anything to go back with and so we got back in the ute to drive home - the return journey wasnt quite as wet only 4 hours of rain this time and then hearing on the radio that there had been a road collapse near our home due to the rain - luckily it wasnt the exact way we needed to go. So all in all a long blinking trip for a cup of coffee and a lesson learnt the bloody hard way !!!!! cheers gizmo
