For all you Mums&Dads in Oz & Coming to Oz leaving Children in the UK
Hi All,
Well its Saturday March 29th here down under & for all you mums & dads in oz & coming to oz leaving children in the uk, i just thought i would write this thread.
For those of you that have read previous posts of mine may know that I have 2 children in the uk (girls 21 & almost 18) and one here in oz with me (girl 14)
My middle daughter Milly is 18 TODAY (not quite in the uk yet) and as many of us have mentioned on the posts & different threads how hard it is to be so far away from loved ones.
So this morning I got up with a huge smile on my face with the thoughts that 18 years ago today i produced a wonderful baby girl who has turned into a fantastic, beautiful, caring, unique, amazing sense of humour, individual and is very precious to me. Of course i miss her so very very much but i will be on the phone & video link when she is up in her morning and having a glass or 2 & more to toast her.
Milly (michelle) is the one with the hat on & her mate
Ok so some of you may know be thinking arrghh sentimental
%#$@& - but i just wanted to get across that even if there is thousands of miles between us all & our loved ones we can still keep smiling & laughing and sometimes is not as hard as we think its going to be.
Best wishes
Gizmo x

.............If she looks anything like Milly, then I am sure he would be happy to know her, she is gorgeous!!!
See, these kids just dont know what they are missing out on!! Can anyone remember what age you are when you finally realise that mum knows best?? I think perhaps it was as soon as I had kids, shame it takes that long, eh!!
Milly is beautiful and she must have a great mum for her to turn out to be a kind and caring girl. I hope she has a brilliant day - and what a wonderful attitude to celebrate with her despite the miles that seperate you .... I think she's a lucky girl too.
