If i had thought harder about where i wanted to live i think it would have been the Gold coast (Labradore is GC). I done some work in Redcliffe and to me looked like a sunny version of Bexhill on sea aftter a nucular holocaust. There is a nice little man made lagoon and park for the kids but.

We live near Labrador. Looks fine, some nice housing etc, and my kids went to kindy there for a while, but it supposedly had higher crime rates at one time? Don't know if true, but your insurance premiums are higher, I read in the local paper, (the postcode 4215 including Labrador, Southport.) Don't think the state school in Labrador has a great reputation, but as usual, all subjective. One mans meat is another mans poison etc! If your hubby was to work in Labrador, there are so many nice suburbs within a very easy drive; Ashmore, Arundel, Benowa, Runaway Bay etc. Plus, the motorway is not too far up the road, so most places are a reasonable drive. Areas such as Upper Coomera and Pimpama, slightly further from the coast, offer better value for money on property. You can't go too wrong really around here. Renting for a while will give you a good idea of what you want.
