I'm holding my husbands visa...

... but it expired in 2005!! ARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hubby has done this whole thing before, only to split up with his Aussie wife at the last minute and never go!

Just had to get out his old passport to get some details about the old visa, and just looking at it and the words "holder permitted to remain in Australia Indefinatly" just make me feel sick!!!! Talk about irony!

Snap, same with my hubby but his was back in 1981 now I think but I also look at the visa a lot and so does he. Is there nothing you can do about it. We did look into it and immigration did to and they were great trying to help us with it. If I remember rightly they definately couldn't do anything with his as he went on tourist visas over there three times after the pr visa was put in on his passport which automatically cancelled the pr visa. There was no date specified when he had to be in the country by but like I say he used the tourist visa instead to go. If he didn't he would have validated the pr one instead. He is adamant that he was never told that was all he had to do.
My advice would be to mayber try immigration in London.

Best of luck.
