My 12yo son has lovely, floppy, blond surfy-hair that gently caresses his shoulders. I love it and think it really suits him. However, he is a very nice little boy and has decided to have it all shaved off for the Leukemia Foundation's appeal.
I bet you know what's coming now....would any of you lovely people like to sponsor him? I don't like asking, but I am very proud of his decision - specially as I know he's feeling a bit shaky about it- and want to do anything I can to help.
I have already posted this on PiA,and have learnt that the Leukemia Foundation have made it easy for anyone to donate, even if you are still in the UK! If you are in Australia any donation over $2 is tax deductable (which I'm sure you know) and I will send a receipt ...but don't discount those $1! Every little will help and it all adds up.
For anyone in Adelaide, my second-to-last attempt is a coffee morning on Wednesday 12 March and you're all invited!
Thanks - and my fingers are crossed. Caroline.

You're right ,it is a fantastic, brave, brilliant thing to do. Mind you, I keep worrying that he's going to get paid out something rotten once he's bald - and that's not easy for any kid to take IMHO. He's adamant though and I couldn't be prouder.
Anyway, the link to the Leukemia Foundation's page is:
Once there, if you click on the sponsoring someone bit, then put in Liam Armstrong, SA he's the only one! You can donate from whatever country you please apparently, so that would be good. If you are in Oz, they send you a receipt. If you have any problems at all, please let me know.
I am so grateful for your help...specially because I contribute so rarely now I feel it was a bit of a cheek to ask. However, it is a very worthy cause (aren't they all though) and I do so want to make him feel that he's achieved something wonderful.
And with your help, he will.
Love to you all,
Caroline.
