had a viewing last night, the guy said he had been waiting for a house in our road to come on the market hoping that ours would be the one.....v strange !! so they came and ooed and arred loved the house said that they would even rent their house out instead of sell, so not to hold us up....very nice of them we thought, so this morning the agent called to say he had made an offer wait for it 25 grand under the asking price....i nearly choked on my cherios....what a cheek ! he acted so desperate as well....so back to the drawing board

oh doll so sorry about that,doesnt it make you so bloody mad.what a cheek.make it very clear with your estate agent that you will not accept any more crappy offers like that.and that you are very angry,that they had the cheek to expect you to drop the house by that amount.they are selling the house for you,and they should be all for you,not the buyer.but some estate agents will just go with the flow as long as they get a buyer.hopefully fingers crossed.someone will come along,and love the house just as much as you hun.good luck.

Hi Helaine, I dont know how they have the cheek , they say 25k like it's a p*** in the ocean. As Nic says have a word with the agent and also tell them 'ok, ile drop 20k if they pay all your fees (the agents), and my solicitor fees and my flight to Australia and my container to be shipped - Throw some bl**dy cheek back at them
Me and Neil have a rule now that we don't believe a word that passes any viewers lips. They say what they think you want to hear. We'd have sold the house ten times over now if all the "offers" had come good.
We have an open day on Sunday. Will let you know if its worth the effort or not.
Keep your peckers up. Someone has to buy our houses sometime.

hey guys we sold our house last year before moving down here and we were furious when we overheard our agent telling people we were moving to Oz and they even told them the dates we were going, so we got a couple of very silly offers as they thought we were desperate.
In hindsight I'd never tell them I was moving to Oz again I'd make up a story about moving to another town and new company putting us in temporary accommodation or something like that....agents are cheeky they just want the sale no matter what!!!!!!
We are trying to sell ours at the moment, had a few viewings but no firm offers yet!
I think a lot of people are waiting for "the housing crash" that isn't going to happen, if interest rates drop again soon it might fire things up a little bit more I hope.
We are worried that we are going to be given the visa and still have our house to sell.....nightmare!!
We are going on a sponsored visa and so once we are accepted we have only a couple of months MAX to be there.......oh dear!!!

After reading what "The Greens" wrote about soaring interest rates in Oz, I think there might be a chance that by the time we get over there property prices in Perth and the interest rates might be on there way down, which HOPEFULLY might help to cancel out any drop we have made here to sell our house............................then again my rose coloured specs might have jumped on again!!
I just had a viewer leave the house 10mins ago. She booked the appointment last week so i thought this could be the one. She knocked on the door and said is it ok to bring my friend in too? That wasnt a problem except that they are both from the area, and i knew them both. I asked what their situation was and one girl said her house isnt on the market yet, but she has always admired this house (the only detatched in a half mile radius) so she just came to see what it was like!!!!! AARRRGGHHH! I only finished work at 7am, took hubby to work, done the school runs and rushed back home to start cleaning for someone to come and completly waste my time!
Im not a happy bunny!

I was reading somewhere today that if you look at a house in Perth for $550k then look at offering $499 that was a couple of months ago so prices may have come down more.
They are saying things are even worse there now and very little is moving.
They are predicting the same happening to Qld sooner rather than later.
This is why I am prepared to risk taking offers on our house just to get rid and move on, what ever we make on the house we are lucky enough to have a made a very good profit.
I appreciate that others are not so lucky

Sharleen I would be tearing a strip of the EA are they not vetting people surely they have been doing their jobs long enough to know who are timewasters
Get the EA to show someone like that around if they want to waste someones time let it be their own.

Hi Kaye, i done what you said and phoned the EA and i gave them HELL! Apart from being exhausted iv got a bit of the PMT going on so you can imagine what i was like!! (have to go wash my mouth out with jeyes fluid!) Still havnt had any sleep and im back in work at 10pm tonite. She said she wont send anyone else round unless they are subject to sale. What a day!!!!!!!
