Mothers Day (UK) 2nd March
Hiya, I know this has come up on another thread (re Fathers Day), just wanted to add this, in case anyone missed it, so no-one forgets! Saw an advert when checking my hotmail account a few days ago for interflora or something, and I'd completely forgotten. I've ordered some flowers from Asda to be delivered to mine and my husbands mothers, (cos I'm fancy- Asda!). For those of us who have only recently left, this will be our mums first mothers day without us, and they deserve to know we haven't forgotten them.

Thanks for that!
I told my Mum and Dad that when I left they would get a "my Mothers day" and a "my fathers day". As the days are different between UK and Oz I thought that it is great to do a surprise. At some point between the 2 "days" I send a parcel to Mum and Dad with their pressys and cards.
ANd Mum, if you read this.........................HURRY AND GET YOUR VISA!!!! I cant wait!

It's my Mum's birthday the week after Mother's Day so this time I'm sending her Mother's day and birthday cards together with a birthday parcel. I'm also going to send her a Mother's day for the Aussie day as well - she needs to be treated special cos I'm not there to do it in person now. We'll also do the same for OH's Mum too! we're using Tesco for flowers - we sent some at Christmas and my Mum's arrived while she was online talking to me, it was so nice to see her face when she opened the card with the flowers!

Just wanted to thank you Jo&Rich about your warning! I just joined this group today, but have been reading in it for quite a while now and it really helped me when I saw your post in February. Didn't think about mothersday at all at that time and I am sure my mother, who lives in London, would have been pretty upset if I had forgotten about mothers day. So when I read your post I did send flowers to her and some pictures and she was really happy about it.
Thanks for saving me from some huge trouble!
