I have a great idea, i'm going to sell it to the bbc. I'm going to make millions when i'm in oz. I'm going to surf all day and the word work won't be in my vocabulary.
Here goes, here's my idea:
I'm going to scour the country to find people who aren't sure whether they want to emigrate or not. Then i'll give them a free holiday (well not me personally, but the bbc).
In the begining of the programme would find out who they are, what they like, etc etc. Then Stage 1, give them 3 options and see what they pick. Stage 2, as by now we have an idea of what they like, what they earn.
Here's the best bit, stick them on a plane. I will then show them 3 houses either totally over budget or with not enough bedrooms (i know i'm wicked, but its a laugh). I will then show them lifestyle to help them get over the houses they've seen, that they can't afford.
Lastly, i will get them a job interview so they can moan about taking a drop in wages.
What do you think? Could this be a winner?
This is a complete mickey take, apologies, i'm just not enjoying 'wanted down under' the current series as much as the first series.
eddie
I agree with you eddie last week when i watched it i screamed at that nardia swaheely woman or what ever her bloody name is, wife had to go and fetch the tv back from out of the garden after i threw it out the window is she and the bbc in the real world or not she said IF YOU ARE UNDER 45 AND HAVE A SKILL YOU WILL BE FAST TRACKED TO GET YOU DOWN UNDER B####cks you join the bloody que and wait a year the same as every one else aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrr
i totally agree i tried last year to see if they do another series if we could go on as can not afford to go and look but i surpose being genuine about going they just laught anyway never heard from them.
it makes my blood boil when i watch as none of them want to go they just want the free holiday, today they were in perth and the woman was the only one through out the whole series that did want to live there.
why can they not come on sites like these and see that there are people who are serious and need that little help as to where abouts they really want to stay.
sorry i've had my moan for the day he he
Dont worry julie this thread ha been set out for us all to have a moan about the programm i didnt see it all today i turnd it off and whent out like you say why dont they take people that are genuine about going and cant afford a recci these people today wherent short of a bob or two and why waste our bloody licence money on these people wanting a free ride
Eddie, I'm with you! Firstly they don't show them appropriate property (either out of budget or not enough rooms), then they don't want to do the job that they do in the UK. They moan about the quiet places being too quiet (but they wanted a quieter life) or that it's too hot (they wanted better weather) and the list goes on!
Meanwhile we're all on PIO and are really serious and want more information (not just a free holiday!).
It all seems like a joke if you ask me.
We're hoping to get to Melbourne by June this year (thankfully through hubby's work) so we wont be getting our free holiday from the bbc and will do our own research!!!!!
