Thumbs down Fed up house seller again!

Hi all
Still not geting anywhere with the house! We are so fed up with the whole bloomin' thing. How much longer can it possibly take to get this sale done & dusted? We have been at it now for over 14 weeks and these are first time buyers and we have no chain! It seems their solicitor is nitpicking now over details that we have all ready given them info on weeks ago(roof light in loft). I think the solicitor is just trying to justify the several hundred pounds that she will no doubt be charging them. I am totally sick of the whole thing and fed up with having my life put on hold waiting for other people to get their finger out. Sorry for the on-going house saga rant folks but I just know that there are some of you on here that will be going through similar situations.

Hi Karen
I know that I'm not on my own in having frustrations in the house selling department! I just hate this 'living in limbo' stage that we seem to have arrived at. We have asked our conveyancers to tell their sdolicitors that we now want a completion date by Jan 31st at the latest & I've faed through the info on the window that the solicitor seems obsessed with! So maybe that'll get things going. I hope all goes well for you

We've had ours on the market since January last year!! We have our first viewing since September on Thursday... fingers, toes, and everything else crossed!!

Once we've sold we can afford to apply for the Visa... really frustrating because all our money is tied up in the house.. that and 12 years of redunduncy that we'll start us off in the wonderful world of Oz!!

So I completely know how frustrating house selling is!!!

Give this a go?

Did anyone see that programme called Open House? .. where their estate agents organise an Open Day with any prospective buyers making offers there and then on the day?

You could put an advert in the local papers and do the same thing yourselves? It might be worth a thought even if it increase interest in your house it might be worth a go? You could even market it i the papers .."As seen on TV's Open House"

Waiting to sell a house is tough, its like living in a permanent state of Show Home .... just in case and viewers phone!

Good luck to one and all!

Hi all
Well, fingers and everything else crossed, we've just had an e-mail from our conveyancers saying that they have been sent the transfer deed and a contract for us to sign! Looks as though things are going ahead again. Its like a rollercoaster ride with each day or in todays case each part of the day bringing its ups and downs. Do you reckon I could start packing-maybe-perhaps..........

Our buyers never got back to us about the fixtures and fittings which hadn't been included (we'd have given them for nothing had they not messed us about), then estate agent rang us the week before saying they'd like to negotiate a price - I told them that we'd sold everything - and got hubby to remove it. I felt as though I'd got my own back for them messing us around... petty I know, but it did feel good and the charity shop got some lovley stuff.
