Lets get the party started !
Well i am here again...
The leaving party has been booked, and it's hitting our friends and family now that we will be gone in about 12 weeks ? We have done well with the house and we could only be homeless for a few days and as usual no back up from the family! My mom is the only one that has offered the living room floor...!!
My mom has alot to lose from us leaving as she is widowed, and i am taking her only grand children miles away... My brother lives abroad to and he is to be a dad in 8 weeks, BUT on the poss side my mom is going to have some brill holidays !
SORRY to go on guys, but yeah it's getting emotional now...
Those of you who are waiting for the yes or no,please enjoy what you have left cause it's a roller coaster...
Hi Alex
Well, we are about at the same stage as you. The house is going through adn the agents has said it could all be done in a couple of weeks. We haven't even begun to pack stuff yet & we are in the middle of planning a leaving party for early Feb. I would ask your family for some help. No one in our family has actually offered any help with moving etc...so when the time comes I am just going to ask and hoopefully they won't feel able to say no! Have a wonderful party & remember you are not on yourown!

must be a very emotional thing to leave ones country for a strange land..to sell up and pack up and say goodbye to family and friends...really heartbreaking stuff...and so much to do...i've travelled and lived all over oz..and that was hard enough shifting and looking for places to live..
I wish you all well...

Have a great time - someone mentioned getting a message book - like at a wedding so everyone can write something in it - also put some disposable cameras on the tables and get people to take photo's for you - the candid ones are always the best - better still get someone whose gonna be sober(ish) with a video who will go round and get some video messages for you.

My father in law did a video when we went up to Yorkshire to say Goodbye to OH side of the family! HE never missed a single person! He got EVERYONE to say something!
