There I was inncocently mowing the lawn, opened up the grass box, and there it was- a bloody HUGE cane toad.

. I won't go into details, suffice to say that I ran screaming to J who put it out of it's misery, and it is now at peace.
It just reminded me of the Youtube clip "Baz the Cane toad" - think the link below should lead straight to it. If not, just search under Cane Toads and "Baz" should come up. (this cartoon in NOT for the sensitive, only those with a bit of an understanding of the humour here ........)
Me and bloody animals, what can I say ?????

ps has anyone else done this (or nearly strimmered a skink, etc, etc) ????? Oh and J got bitten by a paper wasp today (OUCH) - I went into a panic thinking it was a spider bite , but he seems ok. Gardening is quite hazardous in the tropics !!!!!!! Well it is in our garden LOL
PS THIS CARTOON IS IN VERY BAD TASTE IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE OR SQUEAMISH............. can't believe it happened to me !!!!! Take that back, yes I can...........lol
Wikepedia - In the Australian states where the Cane Toad is common, some rather cruel 'sports' have developed, such as Cane Toad golf or Cane Toad cricket where a normal game of golf or cricket is played, except using cane toads for the balls. In April 2005,
Dave Tollner, a Northern Territory
Member of Parliament, called for the legalisation of attacking the Cane Toad, which was criticized by many animal and conservation groups, which said that freezing was a more humane way to kill cane toads rather than hitting them over the head with cricket bats.
[29] The short film "
Cane Toad - What happened to Baz?" displays the Australian attitude towards the Cane Toad. This film won the "Best Comedy" award at the 2003
St Kilda Film Festival. However, the
short relies on humour which Australians connect with, and screenings in overseas festivals have been more reserved - says it all, an Ozzie humour !!!
