Can understand the wobbles and I'm sure we will get them if and when we ever get our visa.

We have lived in our house all our married life - 39 years and in fact, OH was actually born here, so he will feel it even more.

What is even more important though, is that we will be leaving our son's grave. He will be with us always in our hearts, but not being able to go and visit him is going to be the hardest thing of all.

Jean

Hi Mandy,

I have only lived in my house for just over three years since I got married, and I'll miss it when it gets sold. BUT my old house, which I bought with my money, looked after my children in and had my furniture in, still upsets me when ever I pass by. I cannot even look down the road, without getting tears in my eyes.

Can you tell I lived there before I met my lovely Richard? lol It was just that as a single mum, I was really proud of myself and my achievements. Obviously I still feel the same but I have someone to share it all with!

I hope your move goes well and that the sale of your house is smooth, and just think of the nice new house in a nice new country!

Wow loads of girlies feel this way about our home, especially when it was somewhere we bought our lovely children up! You can picture them in that house all those years ago when they were small and the memories of all those years lived in that house .

Like you Mrs C , I cant drive past my old house as I somehow feel it will always be mine in my heart.

When I left there I left a bottle of wine and a note to say ' I hope you will love this house as we did and have many happy years here - Be Very Happy'

Cried when I wrote it and shut the front door

ahhhhh those were the days x Bless this House x

Our house is only 4 years old...but it still holds fond memories for me... Elliot's fist steps, Harvey's first day at school in his smart uniform and my little cat is in the garden as well..... so i can say whole heartedly there will definately be a tear in my eye when we leave.

i think the whole process of moving down under is very stressful ... it's also very exciting....

i think what you are experiencing is perfectly normal x
