Have got this meeting at the RSPCA Townsville shelter with The Mayor, his right-hand man David, our brilliant Inspector Cliff Singer , the top men from RSPCA HQ Queensland, all the shelter staff , and goodness who else, and all the press.
I am soooooooooooo nervous, but please send your thoughts around lunchtime NQ time and let's see if anything can be done. Nothing to do with me, for the animals. It's a small step, but such an important one to me, as I won't be here much longer.
I am bricking it - but I am doing it for my Syd, and for NQ's unwanted animals.
GO GET THEM GIRL !!!! OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU
MRS KEILY

But you know what, 50 yards from the entrance to the shelter we found a four month old female puupy that had obviously just been dumped. She was terrified and emaciated - I bolted out the car, lay down on the road (like you do) and managed to get her to me before she ran away - thank God. She was gorgeous - brindle cattle dog type with very big paws.
Got the paper to take my pic with her and we called her "Hope".
Told you, it always happens to me - animals just find me.
I feel I have done all I can now, and am going to take a back seat and just make the preps we need to make. By the way, Sophie is really coming on leaps and bounds, god love her, but she is really struggling in the heat even in the aircon (too hirsuit).
And thank you to everyone who has supported me over this, you will be glad to know I am now going quiet on the topic - no longer in my hands.
