Well done you. You have certainly opened my eyes to the animal welfare issue in Oz. We are hoping to be in perth in Feb and once settled we want to get a dog as we lost our beloved dog in June due to illness and old age (she was 15). The kids and us are desperate for another dog but we've told them we need to be settled in Oz first. We were going tot get a pup from a breeder but now I think we'll be visiting a shelter and rehoming if not a puppy then a youngish dog.

Not telling the whole truth about how today went - let's just say I think I have ruffled feathers. And am very, very upset.

But I am only doing it for the animals (se queensland thread for more info).

Like Jason says, I am gonna end up and ugly Brigitte Bardot with 100 resuce animals. Not so bad, eh ?
