Unfortunately you can't hold the koalas at Healesville. It is a great day out though and there are lots of bird displays and meet the keeper type talks as well. Some allow the kiddies to get up close with some of the animals as well.

There is a water park in Geelong (west of Melbourne) - check this link out Adventure Park | Splash & Play this summer! | Victoria's most fun Theme Park, Geelong, Australia

The penguins come in at around 6 or 7 pm in June and it does get quite chilly on the beach when you're waiting for them at that time of year. There is also a koala sanctuary and another animal park on phillip island that can keep you amused during the day (no koala cuddling there though!).

Hey guys come up and see me at the Rialto Observation Deck and i can give you lots of information on what to see and do around Melbourne or if you like goto
That's Melbourne or Melbourne Victoria Australia - visitvictoria.com The official travel and accommodation site for Melbourne Victoria Australia At that time of year there is even snow in the mountains if you feel homesick :) but i would recommend the zoo the museum and scienceworks for the little one or even catch a game of AFL football at the Telstra Dome.
James there is a small theme park at Emerald Park Lake that used to have water slides bbq's etc and its where the Puffing Billy ends up at but not on the peninsula as far as i know but there are a couple of great hedge mazes there.

Hi there, the Melbourne zoo is the best I have ever seen, and we've been around the world.
Your daughter would love it.
There's also the Werribee Open Range zoo where you can go in a busdrive through open spaces viewing animals. They are both worth a visit.
Melbourne has an amazing Aquarium on the Yarra river in the city centre too.
There's also the Scienceworks Museum in Spotswood which is well worth a visit - even for a toddler.

There are so many things to do here... Why don't you GOOGLE things to do in Melbourne in July??

Also, we do have a proper winter here so bring coats etc.

Have a good holiday!
