Cool outdoor working

Hi i will be probably working outdoors as i am in the building trade, can anyone tell me how comfortable or not it is as we may be heading for Perth and it gets pretty hot there!!

Hi & Welcome..yes it does get pretty hot in Perth!..Ali who is in Perth can probably tell you how hot it was at Christmas time..i think the hottest place on Earth..when we were last there my OH was in work for five years which kept him outdoors most of the time, and he coped really well considering he had only ever been use to English summers..the first place we had there was no air-con, so that was a bit hard going when he'd been in the sun all day and came home to a baking house..second place had air-con and it helped alot..bit of relief..

It gets really hot and it totally drains you,but normally when it gets to 37.5c -100f in old money its home time.most important thing is to keep topped up with water which is usually positioned all around the sites(ice cold) and slap on the sunscreen ,also get a hat if you are allowed to wear it most sites now are conforming with the hard hat safety issue . so as you know they just make u sweat even more,but it is a welcome change to working in the rain for months on end,ahhhh bliss
