Just wanted to mention this as it made us both smile, on the news tonight there's a guy of 102, and his wife, emigrating to New Zealand. Just wanted to say congratulations and good luck to the both of them. Three cheers to them. It just goes to show, it's never to late.
eddie,tina:)
Take it NZ don't have age restrictions then, and we were worried about Mr KP being 45.......lol
Good luck to them..............

I saw this news clip and smiled since the old boy is a retired dentist and they had been living in a village in Hampshire - I live near Southampton. I admite their sheer courage because I don't think either of them has ever been to NZ, have they?
They are sailing to Auckland, it seems. QEII leaves on her final roundcriuise llater today (6th Jam) amd QVII will also be leaving for her maiden world cruise. Should be quite poignant, watching the two Queens sailing down Southampton Water later, though QEII will be retiurning to Southampton before she retires.
I suspect that the old couple are on one of the two.
The oldst migrant to Oz that I've heard of was an old lady of 97, from Devon, who obtained a Contributtory Parent visa and went to live with her daughter (her only child) somewhere in Victoria in 2005.
The daughter was less romantic about the travel arrangements, however. She came to the UK to fetch her mother and they both flew to Melbourne, I believe.
We were talking about that at brekkie !!! Wow, how amazing is that ? Good luck to them!!! Not sure it's something I'd take on at that age - struggling at 38 !!!!
