Mandurah To Perth Railway

Hi,
Just wanted to let everyone know that I used the new railway, Mandurah to Perth today. It cost me $8.10 for a family pass, thats return too, we left Warnbro at 11 ish and returned at 3.30pm. It was fantastic, the train was a bit busy on the way up but on our return it was so laid back and quiet!! The coastal views were fab, and it was so easy, just park your car at your station, get on the train, you are in the centre of Perth in about 20 mns, FANTASTIC !!! Will def do it again!!

Hi Sian,
glad it's up and running, they just started building it two years ago when we visted... Our friends told us yesterday that it was up and running and that she was going to start using it in the new year when she starts her new job in the city...

glad you and your family had nice time on it...

We haven't used it yet - our local station is south street and it should take about 10 mins. Will give it a go during the holidays I think.

I'd heard there is a lot of problems with gangs etc at Mandurah station ? Does anyone know anything about this or can they quash this rumour ?

I have not heard anything about it, and its not been reported in the local paper, my own opinion is that it is very well policed and I would not have any worries regarding using this transport. My husband travelled on it last sat after watching the cricket at The Waca and there were no problems then!
