Hi everyone,
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas....I've got to admit, ours was different, I didnt think i'd miss everyone as much as I did, and I can understand why people are counting the days until its over...I seem to be walking around with a permanet lump in my throat!!!
We actually got here on 31st October but after numerous hiccups we have finally settled (well for the next 12months in Mornington) its taken us quite a while to get sorted and it was quite difficult at the time, but thank god we joined Poms in Oz because I dont know what we'd have done without the support especially from Lesley and Debbie.
As I already posted Brittania were horrendous and still are...we still havent received our stuff and our 2nd shipment (even though we should never have had 2 shipments)wont be here until 11th January..so we'll have a settee without the covers and a dining room table with no glass top They were useless!!!! and thats being kind!!!!!
Kirsty and Nicole have started to settle, they have both really good, not giving us too much grief when we nearly ended up homeless

. Toby our golden retriever (hes 11) has settled incredibly well, infact he loves it, hes like a puppy all over again bouncing about everywhere, he doesnt even struggle getting up anymore

.
Christmas was incredibly hard and I'm looking forward to it been over and just getting on with our new lives here...hopefully next year it will feel different.
I'm so glad we've come here, its not been easy but we've never thought of giving up and going back to the UK. Everyone is so friendly and cant do enough for you, i'm sure there will be some people out there not so nice but we've not come across any yet!!! What is lovely is how the poms in Oz community help each other

they are all wonderful!!
Anyway thankfully we're back on line...Anyone who is already here and needs a babysitter my daughters are offering their services at a minimal charge, Kirsty already has childcare qualifications behind her

Sorry for going on and on but its soooooo lovely to be back
Take care, enjoy Christmas and speak to you all soon
Tracey
